Have a wonderful holiday.

Posted on 12:10 by gaurav kumar
Have a wonderful break! Where will you be spending the holidays? Alex and I are heading to California to see our families. See you in a week!

Obama was a cute college freshman.

Parisian street-style blog Garance Dore is now translated into English. Bon.

Brrrr. A very snowy winter wedding.

Raven coat hangers from Iceland.

What a beautiful (and beautifully lit) home.

My friend Stella just made this rad tape. (She also made the now-famous lace tape.)

This movie looks hilarious.

Alyson makes a nice gift guide. (Especially loving the icicle necklace).

A homemade photo booth.

Sex & the City bus tours? Kind of awkward.

Cool photos by Rodney Smith.

These balloon prints would look sweet in a nursery.

I'll be trying on this first dress next week! Eeks!

Amsterdam looks magical this time of year.

Oh no! Could beards be bad?

Next week, I'll be posting lightly on Smitten so feel free to come visit me there! xo

Surfwise

Posted on 07:20 by gaurav kumar
This week, Alex and I watched Surfwise, which tells the story of Dorian Paskowitz and his wife Juliette, who drove their nine children around in a camper and made them surf all day. It was a surprising and thought-provoking film, and I'd put it up there with Deep Water, Man on Wire and American Teen as one of the best documentaries in recent years. Have you seen it?

Feeling Smitten...

Posted on 12:34 by gaurav kumar
Here's a weekly round-up from Smitten, my Glamour Magazine relationships blog...

The naked dress!

Dating do or don't: Sleeping in a onesie. (Seriously.)

If you could kiss one celebrity right now, who would you pick?

What's one thing you want to experience before you die?

When visiting your parents, can you and your boyfriend sleep in the same bed?

Grey's Anatomy is porn for girls.

The surprising story of how one couple met.

How often do you call your mom?

Which of these four holiday dresses would you wear on a date?

Reader's confession: "I'm worried that I'll never meet my soul mate."

Do you call your friends "girls" or "women"?

An adorable wedding at City Hall.

Do you use facebook? (Let's be friends!)

Read much more on Smitten, as always. Thank you! xo

Balloon Canopy

Posted on 09:00 by gaurav kumar
Gustafson Porter created this balloon canopy for the Venice Architectural Biennale, using just helium balloons and shade cloths. Wouldn't it be amazing for an outdoor party? You'd just have to hope it wasn't windy...
